Hafilat Cards mandatory from today (14th May 2015 – Friday)
Starting this friday, payment on Abu Dhabi buses using coins is being phased out. Commuters may only be able to use the buses with the Hafilat or Ojra cards. The Ojra cards will also be phased out by November 2015.
Hafilat Ticket vending machines were installed throughout Abu Dhabi at shopping malls and bus stations. Recharge stations to recharge the Hafilat cards will be placed at 155 stations.

Hafilat Card Price
Temporary card – Dh5 (valid for 14days)
Permanent card (Anonymous) – Dh10 Validity – 5 years
Permanent card (Personalised) – Dh5 Validity – 5 years (Requires documents and photo)
All cards can be recharged upto 150AED.

Suburban buses: Dh2 + Dh0.05 perKM
