Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque‘s design and construction “unites the world”, using artisans and materials from many countries. More than 3,000 workers took part in the construction of the mosque. Natural materials were chosen for construction due to their long-lasting qualities, including marble stone, gold, semi-precious stones, crystals and ceramics. The design of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque has been inspired by Persian, Mughal and Moorish mosque architecture. The mosque is large enough to accommodate over 40,000 worshipers.
Emirates Park Zoo
A place of fun, learning and adventure for the young ones! Launched in 2008 as the first private zoo in the UAE. There is a host of animals at the wildlife park, including rare white tigers, giraffes, and elephants. At the petting zoo, children can touch and feed domestic breeds of animals.
