Coronavirus Test in Dubai – Procedure & Required Documents (COVID-19)

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has issued instructions for the public on when and where to proceed for Covid-19 tests. Check the list of required documents do the Coronavirus test in Dubai.
According to the DHA, residents should book an appointment at a public hospital, primary health centre or private institution if they feel flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, cold or breathing difficulties, or if they have travelled to area of Covid-19 concern identified by the World Health Organisation.
Additionally, residents are being advised to seek an appointment if they have been in contact with a suspected COVID-19 patient.
However, the DHA advises that residents first practice home isolation before calling the DHA helpline at 800342.
Once an appointment is obtained for the Coronavirus test in Dubai, residents must bring below listed copies of the patient.
Documents Required for Coronavirus Test in UAE
- Passport or UAE visa
- An original ID
- Tenancy Contract
- Latest DEWA bill
- A recent passport size photograph
- Medical insurance
- If Emirati, must also bring their family book
Procedure & Fee
The testing procedure itself has several steps, including an AED 112 registration, an initial assessment of temperature and blood pressure, a self-declaration form and a swab test.
NOTE: FREE TESTS
The UAE’s public health centres are offering free check-up for citizens and expatriates to detect Coronavirus if people are showing symptoms that are aligned with the surveillance definition of Coronavirus.
Time for Test Results
Results are likely to be given in 24 hours, until which time the patient remains in isolation.
