What is Startup Weekend?
The Startup Weekend is a global initiative promoted by Google Entrepreneurs to encourage young entrepreneurs and aspirants to get started with action. Attending this event will help you move forward from thinking startup to doing startup.
Is this event for me?
If you are interested in entrepreneurship the answer is most likely yes. Startup Weekend attendee backgrounds are roughly 50% technical (developers, coders, designers) and 50% business (marketing, finance, law). Whether you are a serial entrepreneur or new to the startup scene, if you motivated to build a product or startup and open to new ideas you’ll fit right in.
What is FinTech?
FinTech is an abbreviation for Finance Technology. The Finance industry is more susceptible to ideas now than ever before. The goal for this event is to connect people who are passionate and want to tackle the tough challenges in the Finance Industry and passionate technologists, all while learning-by-doing, firsthand, what makes a business and an idea successful.
