Deira Island Bridge to be Opened on 16 December 2016
An AED 150 million bridge to Deira Islands in Dubai will open on Friday, 16 December 2016. the Roads and Transport Authority said.
The work was completed in partnership with developer Nakheel and includes a temporary entrance to the islands and the opening of Dubai Canal.
The western bridge links with Al Khaleej Road, towards the new harbour and fish market.
The developer also extended the existing canal walls as far as the new fish market marina.
The complex is expected to provide accommodation for 250,000 people.
