The five daily prayers collectively form one pillar of the Five Pillars of Islam.
Fajr Prayer
The Fajr (prayer of the morning) is considered the most valuable of the five prayers. Muslims believe that the angels of the last night and the ones of the morning patiently listen to those who recite the Fajr prayer.
Dhuhr Prayer
The rakaats (the various words and movemetnts performed by a muslim when performing a prayer) of the Dhuhr prayer are considered obligatory to be offered by all Muslims. Those who perform the Sunnah (4 in number) before this prayer and the four rakaats after this are considered to be dearly blessed.
Asr Prayer
Muslims believe that the Asr prayer or the Asr Salaah is an important prayer for anyone who wishes to enter Jannah (heaven). Imam Bukhari states that the deeds those who miss this prayer deliberately will be rendered void.
Maghrib Prayer
It is the time of Maghrib when Muslims break their fast during the holy month of Ramadan. The importance of the Maghrib prayer comes from the fact that Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) chose this time to break their fast.
Isha Prayer
Along with Fajr, the Isha prayer is considered among the most difficult and important prayers offered by a Muslim throughout the day. It is believed that there is great reward in offering this prayer. Imam Bukhari stated that this prayer should not be skipped even if the man were on his knees.
