Abu Dhabi bus transport launches new services and improvements
Abu Dhabi’s Bus Transportation Office has announced the first phase of the bus network services improvement in the emirate, featuring addition of new routes as well as cancellation of some underutilised services.
According to the Bus Office, the new implementations will be effective from March 4 as follows:
New Services
– 192, new bus service from Abu Dhabi city to Saadiyat Public Beach, replacing service 401 to have 9 trips and 120 minutes wait time.
– 193, new bus service 193 from Abu Dhabi city to Saadiyat Beach North, replacing service 403 to have 9 trips and 120 minutes wait time.
– 445, new service from Al Wathba Prison to Baniyas east Bawabat Al Sharq mall to have 9 trips and 120 minutes wait time.
Services improvements
In order to improve the timing on some routes, the bus office announces that there has been an increase in the number of buses, which will lead to increase the frequency to 20 minutes on following routes:
– 63 from Marina to Al Reem Island
– 40 from Al Marryah to Khalifa Park
– 10 Ras Al Akhdar to Zayed Port
– A1 – Al Zahiyah to Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Allocating Bus Routes
– Service 170 has been extended from Al Rawdha to Abu Dhabi International Airport Terminal 1.
– Service 162 has been extended from Khalifa Street to Abu Dhabi International Airport Terminal 1.
To that regard, service 140 was cancelled due to lack of usage, in addition, all bus services timetable in Abu Dhabi and its suburbs has been modified to operate for 18 working hours, except services 5, 7, 32, 54 and A1 which will remain for 24 hours, a statement said.
We are not recheing time to time, on duty because 120 minutes waiting thet is long time, we request to all of you, reduce the 120 waiting time, thanks
You cancelled the morning bus going to Khalifa.. Our shift starts at 6:00am. It is not favorable to those who work at 6:00am as the bus start at 6:00a from city to Khalifa. Please we need that 1 bus who travel Khalifa City from the city at 4:45am or 5:00am not 6:00am.

Its not good always no buss i always take taxi every evening 25aed. Per day zzzzzzzz pls put back the normal time on buss

Please put back the normal time of bus. At least one bus until 12:30 midnight from mussafah to Abu Dhabi city. We’re suffering to come back home after work. It is not safe to take carlift and too much when you ride taxi. Please! Please! Please!

This kind of changes surprised some of the passengers going on duty from Abu Dhabi to Khalifa City. You did not even inform the public about these suden changes. If these changes will favor taxi drivers to earn how about us passengers who has a minimum salary? I was really disappointed on how you handle this scenario. First, you removed the 160 @ 4:45, Second if the bus is full which is coming around 6:45 the driver is only allowed to drop passengers and not allowed pick up. Lastly. we are like sardines inside the bus after 6am. I cant even move because all passengers were added from one route to another.Our duty is badly affected because of these changes. We dont have any choice but to go taxi and pay around 50,drhams. Please BRING BACK the same timetabe and interval.

Im travelling by bus from auh to yas mall but due to new changes of bus schedule everyone is suffering and late for work.Long minutes of waiting and not all passenger is accomodated..:( Hoping you return back the old timings and add # of bus coming to Yas Mall.
Everyones suffering of this changing, mostly the people who working as shifting in abu dhabi city to shabiya, thats why some people forcing to ride taxi or else carlift,what to do yar…
What about the timings for bus 44 it’s not indicated in here. When can we see new bus schedules??
Sir we need the previouse schedule what we use to and favor to our work schedule.we have a hard time waiting it too long time.and sometimes we cannot accomodate ourselves because it already full.please put back the old schedule.
Please return back the bus timing in abu dhabi city to mussafah sabea, i already complain in the department of transport by going to their website, i suggest already to make the fare hike than lessening the bus, and first bus trip is 6:20 am and he is not allowing passenger to go in to his bus, most of the people in sabea working at 7:00 am and we cannot make it on time, hope you resolve this problem as soon as possible because everyday taking taxi is too much expensive.
Im not favorable in these changes as it affects everyone specially people whose travelling from musaffah to city (vise versa). If routes was lessen atleast please accomodate everyone whose waiting for long just to take the bus! We are waiting for long and suddenly bus driver will not allow us to go because all seats are occupied already! So inconvenient! Please bring back the old schedules! Not everyone can afford to take taxi and carlift everyday. Please understand our situation. We hope for fast action on this. Thanks!

I have been suggesting to make a new root to abudhabi to yas mall and going towards shamaha , because the nearest city from yas mall is shamaha , and the last bus from shamaha to yas mall is 11 pm , 80 percent of yasmall employee working hours is untill 2 am so the bus service that provided is not reliable those who want to stay in shamaha , If there would be 24 hour service from abudhabi to yasmall going to shamaha definately it would be worthfull , so my suggestion is to ling 202 number bus to yasmall nearby road so that , it will earn some revenue . thanks
i m using bus no.111 from abu dhabi to sabiya musafaa to icad …..but from few day ago i m getting this bus from 11 pm onwards from abu dhabi…..so once to icad from abu dhabi is more than 70 dhs in taxi . So we can’t afford it ………..please bring back the bus as it was before ……thanks
mostly people are not happy to the new schedule of buses route to Sabiah Buses No.101, 102, 103, 104 because the RTA removed schedule during 5:15 to 6:00 morning. We need atleast 3 trips from 5:00 am to 6:00 am. Thanks and we need your understanding.
There are more buses needed passing through Khalifa st extending upto Salam street and to Electra st, passport road etc so that passengers can use the service to go to Salam street. The sad part is that even no 40,63 goes in the Khalifa st and take a turn in the Nazda st. It should go to full Khalifa st and then turn. There is Khalifa energy oil companies are in Khalifa st and it will be more useful and I am sure, people can avoid cars and make use of public transport. Because of improper bus services in Khalifa st (only 40,63) we cannot find customers in new WTC market., except few tourists who are dropped by tour operators. I have informed the suggestion to DOT and no response so far.
Please provide us an alternative transport from Al Ain to Mussafah and vice versa. We used to have minivan and bus 440 there. It seems that unauthorized vehicle are taking advantage of this situation and charging us commuters like being holdup at knifepoint due to lack of facilities in there.
I am supporting the call of the majority to bring back the old schedule of bus timing, the riding public is in need the transportation to convey us to our work to help maintain the economy of this city, even if you increase the fare, it would be okay us.
kindly bring back the old timing its very hard to wait 2hrs or why not from 8 to 12, 6 to 9 make it 1hr interval only
