The Department of Transport (DoT) was established pursuant to Law No. 4 of year 2006, amended by Law No. 5 of year 2008 to cover the entire value chain and ensure fully coordinated planning in all aspects of transport policy and development in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in cooperation with all relevant local, regional and international stakeholders and partners.
DoT is focused on meeting the following five main objectives:
- Reducing congestion and enhancing mobility within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
- Enhancing transport safety and security in coordination with key stakeholders.
- Providing high quality and reliable transport services to all areas within the Emirate.

DOT should make a survey, thorough study plan, own more fleet of Bus,, increase the frequency of timings to routes as needed and tie good if they could coverage even suburban area also in the route maps.By more bus services no. Of small vehicles like meter taxi could be reduced in size, more drivers job opportunities could be created. Also it be sign of happiness & relief to many commuters as they have to daily struggle thru. traffic, waiting long hours in stops, reaching late to their office. Helpless not finding bus have to depend on taxi pay huge fare on meter although they find it difficult to meet with. I live in Al Dhafra workers village. There are thousands of residents here. On weekend evening after 4 p.m onwards until 8 p.m. and Friday morning till evening @ 1 hours frequency bus can be put it be nice. People here more frequently be traveling to ICAD. If bus routing can be like all dhafra to back side of dalma mall and then cover shabiya via 12 sec and then direct to ICAD. You may run on trial basis and improve.
please r ieturn it back the bus timing every hour..its too difficult for us wait again for 2 hours..if you miss the bus you will wait again another 2 hours…many people suffer about the new bus timings please consider our request to bring it back the old bus timings every hour.thank you
Obviously the improvement plan hasnt worked for the bus 115 service which has become so poor and frustrating. The time stated on at the bus stations are not followed especially noon buses from 3:50pm.
The buses due to change in timing has become so full the passengers have no place to stand in the morning and evenings.
I suggest a reverse to 30mins interval.

This new bus timing doesn’t help. Specially the 401 going baniyas east. The driver doesn’t allow passengers to ride. Of course it will be full due to cut down of bus trip. We are almost ahead of time but still the driver is not allowing passengers to ride even if there’s a lot of vacant seats. Pls try to think of the passengers also. all of us have to work on a daily basis. Reconsider the old bus timing pls
dear sirs/maams, hope its possible that during peak hours,say, 6am-9am and 4pm-7pm would be still a 1hour interval to compensate the volume of the commuters going to work and going home. then 9am-4pm and 7pm on wards will be every 2hours. i assume that would be a better alternative. hoping for the understanding. thank you
You cancelled the morning bus going to Khalifa.. Our shift starts at 6:00am. It is not favorable to those who work at 6:00am as the bus start at 6:00a from city to Khalifa. Please we need that 1 bus who travel Khalifa City from the city at 4:45am or 5:00am not 6:00am.
These changes in the bus timings had a very bad effect. People are fighting over not just for seats, but even for standing spaces. The last bus ride i took last night is 102 to mussafah, which gave me bruises in my arms due to overcrowding. If we commuters would not force ourselves to get in the bus we would wait for another 2 hours or so. Drivers and passengers are also fighting. Last night the driver was shouting to this one Iranian lady. Please bring it back to the old schedule especially buses 101-104 and end the commuters’ suffering. Thank you.
Please reverse the old schedule…people are suffering too much…now summer ahead so so difficult for us to wait long …small buses on long routes are uncomfortable. …where are big buses ?? Need 400 bus on 24 hours please. ..lot of people get benefit from it ..

we r living in Shabiya , with family . how we will go to city in week end ??? did u check the rush in the bus ???
