You can land yourself in a fine of AED 500 in Dubai next time if you perform this act

Next time, think twice before you throw a piece of bubble gum on the floor or at any public place in Dubai. The rules have been beefed up this time and there shall be no excuse whatsoever if caught in the act red-handed.
Dubai Municipality, in a post on Twitter, said, “Avoid throwing bubble gums on the roads. To avoid a violation penalty of Dh500 based on local order No.11 of 2003.”
In an earlier post, the Municipality also said:” If you throw a single cup of tea, it may cost you Dh500, based on the terms of local order No. 11 of 2003, in your hand, to sustain your city’s cleanliness.”
This move is taken in part of the Dubai Municipality’s keenness to establish a clean and very sustainable environment for the citizens and residents that reside over there. It also further enhances the participation of the community members as well as gives a clean and much better aesthetic look to the Emirates.
Also, this rule does not simply imply to only just spitting bubble or chewing gum, but it also goes to spitting in public places. The fine for spitting in the metro is even heftier. You will have to fork out AED 1,000 if caught doing so. Also throwing waste on the streets can land you a fine.
Be aware next time when doing any such activities that will not only harm and pollute the environment but also something that will put a dent in your wallet for something so silly.
