West Australian Symphony Orchestra – Music Event in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Classics season starts off by welcoming for the first time in the UAE one of the leading ensembles of the Asia-Pacific Region, the West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) with a special programme for the night on Richard Wagner. The works of Richard Wagner speak for themselves through their complex textures and controversial writings. More than any other composer Wagner has changed the way opera is being written and performed and has deeply influenced the development of classical music. Till this day he is considered one of the most renowned classical composers of all time.
The Orchestra will be performing excerpts from some of Wagner’s most famous musical dramas, from Tristan and Isolde, a love story inspired by his own personal endeavors, or from his romantic opera Lohengrin, based on the life of the artist. The orchestra, under the baton of the well-known conductor Asher Fisch who is celebrated for his knowledge in Italian/German repertoire of the romantic and post romantic era, will be accompanied by the world renowned tenor Simon O’Neil.
Don’t miss out on an evening to remember as the Western Australia Symphony Orchestra takes you on a classical journey through the transcendent and mythical world of Richard Wagner.
