UAE Summer Hits 50 Degree Celsius

- UAE almost reached 51 degrees Celsius in the area over Mezeira near Liwa, Abu Dhabi
- The highest temperature during summer 2017 in UAE was recorded by the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) on 17th June, 2017
- The predicted weather for three days following 17th June, 2017 is expected to range from 34 – 37C, while humidity level will reach up to 95% in coastal areas and 90% in the interior region
- The maximum temperature during the week from 17th June is predicted to be between 43C and 49C
- UAE has a tropical desert climate, given its location in the Northern desert belt
- Peak summer in UAE runs between July and August, when the average maximum temperature is 49 degree Celsius
- UAE experiences heat for the most part of the year, and the winter months between January and February have average minimum temperatures recorded from 10-14C
- The average annual rainfall in UAE’s coastal area is fewer than 120 mm , but in some mountainous areas annual rainfall often reaches 350 mm
