UAE Fuel Prices Take a Negligible Dip From July 2017

- The Ministry of Energy announced that car fuel prices in UAE will drop by 5% by the start of July 2017
- As of 1st July, 2017, a litre of Super 98 will cost AED 1.86, Special 95 will be AED 1.75 for a litre, a litre of E Plus will be AED 1.68, and diesel will be priced at AED 1.84
- The new fuel prices have decreased from June 2017’s prices of AED 1.96, AED 1.85 and AED 1.78 for a litre of Super 98, Special 95 and E Plus respectively
- Diesel has reduced in price by 3.16% in July 2017 as compared to the previous month
- Before August 2015, when the Ministry of Energy began liberalizing fuel prices, fuel prices were more varied – Super 98 cost AED 1.72 a litre while Diesel cost AED 2.90
- Fuel prices in UAE are changing for the fourth consecutive month in July 2017
- UAE has a fuel delivery app called Get Fueled, which will have your tank filled in no time without having to wait in long queues, for a delivery charge of AED 25
- Petrol and diesel prices in UAE have been steadily declining over the months in 2017, but residents don’t find that it makes a difference because of the increasing cost of living
- On average, a full tank of petrol costs AED 110 in Dubai
