UAE Continues to Face Scorching Summers
- The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said that the temperature in UAE will be hot to very hot in general, partly cloudy and hazy at times
- Maximum temperatures will surge to 49°C inland, with lows of 24°C expected in the mountains
- Winds will veer southeasterly to northeasterly, 12 – 28 kmph, reaching 38 kmph at times in the internal areas of UAE during daytime
- The relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over some coastal and internal areas, with a chance of fog or mist formation, especially over the western areas
- UAE experiences heat for the most part of the year, and the winter months between January and February have average minimum temperatures recorded from 10-14°C
- Peak summer in UAE runs between July and August, when the average maximum temperature is 49 degree Celsius
- Internal areas in UAE generally get more affected during the summer and tend to record high temperatures
- Best way to avoid direct heat exposure is by staying indoors whenever possible, especially from noon until around 03:00 PM
- Precautions to keep in mind during UAE summers is to always apply a good sunscreen before going outside, keeping an umbrella handy, and wearing light and breathable clothes
