The District – Family Event in Abu Dhabi
The concept of the one month-long event is to provide the youth, those aged between 14-22, an outlet to not only discover new skills but also a platform for them to receive support and guidance in a variety of areas including innovation, entertainment, technology, fashion, digital media, health, science, nutrition and sustainability to name but a few.
The District has been specifically designed to focus on the youth, giving them a safe and convenient destination where they can spend their summer days. At The District, there will be plenty of activities, both educational and entertaining, for both young men and women to take part in.
Being open seven days a week, the event offers an ever-changing schedule, custom-tailored to the needs of the youth, their interests and skills that they can obtain to use in everyday life. In keeping with the overall theme, the area is divided into five main areas; the park, alley, dome, street and block, each with its own unique design and offering. Some of the activities on offer will include smart phone photography, gaming, 3D design workshops, acting classes, fashion design, live performances and a host of others.
Every weekend will feature an additional showcase of guests, both local and international, conducting workshops, classes and informal discussions along with the regular offering.
