Temporary Visas to be Given to Transit Passengers at DXB

- The Dubai International Airport has planned to offer temporary visas to transit passengers, an official announced
- The visas will be given to ‘most nationalities’, said Amer Abdul Raoof, Director of Dubai 10X 2.0
- The airport is also installing a “Microcosm of Dubai”, a virtual reality tour of Dubai’s landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa, the Burj Al Arab and the Dubai Mall,
- The announcement was made on the sidelines of the ongoing World Government Summit 2018, with the topic of “Shaping future governments”
- Dubai International Airport is the busiest airport in the world in terms of the volume of international passengers
- DXB the third busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic and the busiest airport in the world operating with only two runways
- In 2017, DXB retained its position as the world’s busiest airport, as it welcomed 88.2 million passengers
- Dubai International Airport expects more than 100 million passengers by the end of 2020
- Dubai 10X 2.0 is a scheme which aims to reform all 36 governmental departments of Dubai
