Temperatures expected to drop in UAE

UAE residents can begin to enjoy more outdoor activities as there will be a respite from hot summer months with the onset of cooler weather in the coming days, a forecaster from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) told Khaleej Times on Thursday.
The onset of cooler climate can now be felt with mercury expected to drop across the country, the forecaster said in a phone interview.
In coastal areas, the average minimum temperature will hover between 27-32C while the maximum temperature will be between 39-43C. It will be slightly hotter in internal areas with the minimum temperature hitting between 24-29C and maximum temperature at 42-46C.
“The maximum temperature, however, will be felt only in the desert areas and it will be lower in the city and other internal areas,” the forecaster noted.
“It will be cooler in the mountain region with mercury dropping between 23-29C for the average minimum temperature and 33-38C for the maximum temperature,” NCM added.
