Dubai has always been known for its penchant for shine, sparkle and glitter.

A region that enjoys its bling, for Austrian producer of luxury cut crystals, Swarovski, Dubai is a city that will always remain in focus.

The recently opened Hyatt Regency in Healthcare City is now home to one of the largest crystal panel installations in the world. It has also announced a tie up with Teyban, a Dubai-based developer, to build Sparkle Towers in Dubai Marina, a luxury resort style residential project, with views of the Marina.

And today Swarovski will make another fashion statement in the city with an exhibition at the Madinat, Jumeriah called, ‘Sparkling Couture’.

This exhibition will showcase one-of-a-kind pieces from 40 brands from across the UAE and other parts of the world. From modest wear to evening couture, from bridal wear to costume jewellery the event will showcase the wonders of crystal in the fashion industry.

Designers on show include Rizwan and Raghda Taryam from the UAE, Suneet Varma and JJ Valaya from India and Faraz Maran from Pakistan.
