The fascinating this to know here is that the bridge comes to a length of 295 metres. Of ths 295 metres, 150 metres is above the Dubai Creek. The Shindagha Bridge project will also have 6 lanes in either direction for the vehicles to be passing by. And also a pedestrian crossing. This goes to show that there will be all in all a total of 12 lanes just for vehicles. The bridge is widely massive and is definitely a small project. Now what separates this bridge apart from all the other bridges that Dubai has ever built is that it has a very unique architectural design. The signature architecture is notable famous for it resembles the form of the mathematical symbol for infinity. This bridge is indeed an iconic design.
Also to note is the amount of steel that is being to construct this bridge. About 2,400 tonnes of steel is being used in the making of this bridge. The top portion of the infinity arch rises to be about 42 metres.
The initial two phases of the bridge have already been completed and this the third phase that is ongoing. The Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid had drawn the infinity sign of the bridge as soon as the design of the bridge was released, thereby indicating that the start of the construction of the bridge has been initiated.
The fourth phase of this project completes the entire construction of the Shindagha Bridge project. The fourth phase is also said to be completed in the year 2025.
