Sheikh Khalifa Mourns Death of his Mother
- Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan mourns his mother, Sheikha Hessa Bint Mohammad Al Nahyan, who passed away today (28th January)
- The Ministry of Presidential Affairs issued a statement saying: “In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate, with the hearts of believers in the judgment of God and his destiny.”
- “His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, mourns the death of Her Highness the late Sheikha Hessa bint Mohammed Al Nahyan, who moved on to her Lord today.”
- The Ministry said three days of official mourning begins today
- Sheikha Hessa bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan is the mother of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed and the first wife of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan
- Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the current President of the UAE
- Sheikha Hessa was the daughter of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who was a senior figure of the House of Al Nahyan, until his death in 1979
- Sheikha Hessa was the great granddaughter of Sheikh Zayed bin Khalifa, known as Zayed the First
- Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan was born at to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan and Sheikha Hessa at Qasr Al Muwaiji in Al Ain in 1948
