Sharjah offers 80% discount in Ramadan mega sale
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has introduced the Ramadan Nights which is a part of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival. This festival is organized in order to help the residents of the emirate and the visitors to observe the holy month of Ramadan and the following Eid celebrations. It is a comprehensive shopping platform that aims to provide a hefty discount of up to 80% on all products and gadgets that are being sold on this platform. From May 31 to June 16 will be the 29th edition of the festival and it will be held for 17 days.
The major important component of this festival is to drive the visitor traffic by selling them on huge discounts on the popular products and other highly valuable gadgets that most of the participants are offering. The CEO of the Expo Centre Sharjah, Ms. Saif Mohamed Al Midfa stated that “Ramadan Nights has been a staple event for the holy month for nearly three decades, marking Sharjah’s unique addition to the season’s festivities. It continues its reign as not only the UAE’s but also the region’s, most anticipated shopping and entertainment extravaganza of the season.”
According to the recent most studies, it has shown that there has been a forecast growth of about 15% in the retail sales already during the holy month of Ramadan. In the year 2016, there had been a net sales of about USD 253 billion and it is expected to surpass this figure by over USD 25 billion, resulting in USD 280 billion for the year 2018. Nearly 80 percent of that growth is accounted by The United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
As part of the festival, Ramadan Nights will host a number of activities that include various food stalls and different themed cultural activities. This includes household products of a wide range, a large number of food courts and a great line of amusement activities. This is the sure shot go-to destination for all this Ramadan. There is also country pavilions for numerous games and many raffles draws to be won by those who are lucky enough to win and eager to participate in the festival. There are international pavilions from various vendors as well, including those from India and China.
The preparations for Ramadan Nights 2018 are well underway and will be held at the Expo Centre Sharjah.
