RTA Launches World’s First AI Happiness Meter

- Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has recently launched the world’s first initiative for measuring customer happiness by using Artificial Intelligence
- The initiative was launched initially at RTA’s Customer’s Happiness Center in Umm Romool
- The initiative fits with the UAE Artificial Intelligence Strategy, which lays the foundation for the futuristic infrastructure of the UAE Centennial Plan 2071
- The index uses AI techniques such as computer vision and automated facial recognition to analyse customers’ impressions after receiving service
- The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is the regulatory authority for all matters regarding transport and road safety in the emirate of Dubai
- Artificial Intelligence is said to be intelligent behaviour by machines, trying to emulate human intelligence
- The UAE Centennial 2071 project was launched by the UAE Cabinet to make the UAE the best country in the world by 2071
- RTA won the title of the Best Customer Call Center in the 2016 edition of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Programme for Smart Government Award
- UAE appointed the country’s first Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Omar Bin Sultan Al Olama, on 19th October, 2017
