Residents gather to witness Dubai Frame

- Residents and tourists rushed on the first day of 2018 to get the first sight on Dubai Frame
- The Dubai Frame is open from 10AM to 7PM
- It stands tall in Zabeel Park and allows visitors to see the journey of the Dubai’s past, present and future in 1 hour from a 150m sky glass bridge
- Dubai Municipality official said, the crowd was manageable and fast moving, because the frame takes up to 200 people per hour
- The Dubai Frame, a 150-metres high and 93-metres wide structure, is an AED 160 million project conceived and titled by Fernando Donis to promote Dubai tourism
- Dubai Frame stands tall in Zabeel park with views of Emirates Towers and Burj Khalifa on one side, and Deira, Umm Harare and Karama from the other
- The design of Dubai Frame was selected as the winner of the 2009 ThyssenKrupp Elevator International Award from 926 proposals
- Dubai Frame was inaugurated in November 2017, which was delayed by two years, as the initial opening was scheduled for 2015
- Dubai Municipality has recently signed an agreement with property giant Emaar Properties to market and promote Dubai Frame, similar to how it was done for Burj Khalifa
