Remote controlled Mobile Radars on Sheik Zayed Road

Dubai Police have amped up their technology to monitor traffic and road regulations in Dubai – with the help of a futuristic-looking Smart Controller.
The Smart Controller can detect discrepancies and violations faster and more accurate than regular radars, through an integrated technical system. Moreover, it is mobile within a small radius, which makes it much easier for it to spot and capture a multitude of violations, including driving on the hard shoulder, jaywalking, and speeding.
Not only is the device useful for tracking and recording motorists, but also for communicating with them by sending out audio messages. It can also transmit weather warnings, especially in the case of bad weather, and alert drivers in case of emergencies.
What makes the Smart Controller far superior compared to other existing radars is its nine additional unique features. Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director-General of the Traffic Department at the Dubai Police described that the controller has features such as a high quality surveillance camera, the ability to be fixed on road fences and move for a short distance, and direct transmission to the command and control centre.
