Ramadan in Abu Dhabi 2017 – Family Event in Abu Dhabi

The Holy Month is a truly magical period in Abu Dhabi.
Ramadan spreads the spirit of giving and sharing, promotes cross-cultural understanding, and enlightens residents and visitors on the Islamic and Emirati way of life.
Peace and quiet reigns during the day, however at night, the city comes alive with fun activities designed to bring families and friends together.
Enjoy the lavish ‘Iftar’ buffets restaurants hosted around the Emirate. And don’t miss the most popular ‘Iftars’ that are organised in specially erected Ramadan tents.
Several lectures and community events focussing on charity, sharing and giving provide Abu Dhabi residents an opportunity to immerse in meaningful activities in this Holy Month.
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque continues its complimentary guided tours during Ramadan. The mosque is open daily, except Friday, from 9am to 1pm (last entry at 12:30pm), and the daily ‘Walk in’ tours starting from 10:00am to 11:00am offer an insight into the practices of the Holy Month to give visitors a greater understanding of it.
