Rains Hit UAE Even at 50°C Temperatures

- Some parts of UAE face rain, even as temperatures soar to 50°C and humidity levels hit 85%
- According to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology, it’s the monsoon season in India, so convective clouds blowing in from the south eastern part of India are causing rain in UAE
- Internal areas such as Masafi, Al Madam and Fili have been facing rains during August 2017
- While it will continue raining in some parts of the eastern and southern region, the inland areas and cities of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah will remain hot and dry

- The highest recorded temperature in UAE in August 2017 is 50.1°C in the Mezaira region
- Internal areas in UAE generally get more affected during the summer and tend to record high temperatures
- UAE residents are advised to protect themselves in the summer by using a good sunscreen, wearing light and breathable clothing, carrying an umbrella and sunglasses and staying hydrated always
