Qasr Al Muwaiji events – Culture Event in Abu Dhabi
The traditional fort will celebrate our nation’s poets and writers in collaboration with the Academy of Poetry. Each month, a rich performing arts programme will be presented in the palace courtyard, and will include poetry and literary readings on national history. Qasr Al Muwaiji will also host two concerts under the title of Emirati Melodies that showcases the musical heritage of Al Ain region, and UAE Voices, a choral singing group performance inspired by the poems of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Literary Evenings at Muwaiji
A series of evenings dedicated to the Literary Arts; narrators, storytellers, chroniclers and the popular Poetry Programme in collaboration with the Academy of Poetry.
The evenings are presenting a variety of the literary elements from the novels, short stories, poetry, prose, and verbal storytelling from the Emirati and international heritage.
As the star of literature form, poetry is heavily presented in the series in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Poetry Academy, during which the opening event on February 18th will host poets from the academy presenting Nabati poets inspired from the Emirati heritage, where Ayoub Yousif will be opening the event with a linguistic variations inspired from the Arabic language. Yousif is known for his distinguished talent in discovering the thoroughbred heritage words and find its modern contemporary synonyms in the today common accents and dialect.
