Passengers Stranded at Norfolk International Airport

More than 200 passengers have taken off for Santo Domingo after they were stranded for over 24 hours at Norfolk International Airport where their airplane made an emergency landing on Sunday.
United Airlines flight 1470 was on its way to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic when it experienced engine problems, according to Robert Bowen with Norfolk International Airport. About two hours into the flight, the crew reported that their right engine had shut down. They were able to restart it, but decided to divert to the airport in Norfolk out of an abundance of caution.
