Partial shutdown of metro line until 2019

- Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the closure of Metro Red Line between Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) and Ibn Battuta Stations
- The procedure requires full closure of Nakheel Harbour and Tower Station, and the attached multi-level Park-N-Ride Terminal
- Alternative arrangement is made to give way for construction works of Route 2020, which requires construction of new station and linking it with the existing one
- Mohammad Abu Baker Al Hashmi said, RTA will provide free alternative bus service between Jumeirah Lakes Towers and Ibn battuta metro stations starting next Friday, January 5
