Vehicle Number Plates with Abu Dhabi Logo for Dh400

The Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at the Abu Dhabi Police has designated service centres for replacing old car plates with the new Abu Dhabi ID plates.

Colonel Suhail Al Khaiaili, Chief of the Vehicles Licensing Section at the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, said all arrangements have been made at the service centres provided by the department starting on Tuesday (March 1) to obtain the new plates.

He explained that the replacement service is provided for valid car plates or upon renewal or registration. He also noted that the service is optional and costs Dh400.

The centres are located at the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department Headquarters, Al Salamah building in Abu Dhabi, Mussafah, Al Samha, Mahwi, Al Qalaa, and Aman building in Mussafah.

In Al Ain, centres will be located at Al Salamah building, Al Bateen, and Mazyad. In the Western Region (Al Gharbia), centres will be available in Madinat Zayed.

The replacement will also be available through the Taresh service via the number 800827374.
