Southern Sun Abu Dhabi has just opened Blu Sky Lounge & Grill, a contemporary style sports lounge that has a dedicated VIP space and wall of fame.

Designed for sports fans, the lounge has 14 large screens, from 55” to 85”, and is an ideal place to socialise with like-minded sports fans. The lounge also boasts state-of-the-art sound systems and innovative mood lighting. The sports-inspired menu includes quick bites such as torpedo shrimps; wings; Stilton mushrooms; and even poutine, a Canadian favourite. Main dishes include steak and Stilton pie; Irish stew; moules-frites; lamb chops; steaks and more. There’s also a host of salads, sandwiches and burgers on offer.

To celebrate the opening, Southern Sun Abu Dhabi sought out Freestyle Football Champion Zaid Issawi, known for his freestyle football performances. Issawi will perform at the Southern Sun Abu Dhabi on January 13 during Blu Sky Lounge & Grill’s private launch party. The 20-year-old was named the Jordan Freestyle Football Champion and Arab Freestyle Football Vice Champion in 2013. He has been shortlisted for the World Freestyle Football Championship scheduled in Algeria in February 2016.
