New Pre-Registration for School Service in UAE- Get Your Newborns Registered
While the joy of your newborn coming to your home leaves you spellbound, it also brings in your child’s first step to learning and education. The new Pre-Registration for School service has been initiated in the Capital by ADEK (Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge) in collaboration with ADSSSA, (Abu Dhabi Smart Solutions and Services Authority).
Pre-Registration for School – TAMM
You can now pre-register your child for a school in UAE, immediately after birth. All you need to do is to first register your child’s birth at the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi and then apply for Pre-Registration for School service. According to your registered place of residence, a public school is recommended the through ADSSSA’s TAMM system. Your child will be assigned a unique student number for ADEK’s student information system (eSIS), which collects all relevant data and sends notification to you relating to registration confirmed with the school name. And when your child attains 4 years of age and finally becomes eligible to go to school, the eSIS automatically reserves a slot for your child and send you a confirmation message. Moreover, in case of a change in residence over the four-year period, the TAMM system will automatically detect the new residency area, notify you and recommend a new school.
Only Public Schools for Pre-Registration
Initially, only public schools are suggested for Pre-Registration but ADEK has assured that it will include all schools in the emirate in the future. Such initiatives will be developed in order to promote Abu Dhabi’s efforts in education excellence and to promote the emirate’s digital transformation. Since 2012, when the UAE cabinet approved a new law making education compulsory and a fundamental right of every UAE citizen, ADSSSA has introduced several initiatives to develop education in public and private schools including technical, vocational and adult education. The Pre-Registration for School service is one such initiative of ADEK to offer education to every citizen who has reached six years of age through public schools and educational institutions.
