New Eateries in Global Village for Under AED 30

It’s that time of the year when Dubai residents flock to Global Village for a cool family day out while taking a mini tour ‘around the world’. The complex has been vastly revamped and with the new attractions comes even newer food concepts! We take a tour (a belly-filling one at that) around Global Village to give you insider info on the best food you can get. And the best part? Everything in the list is under AED 30! Do that math and you’ll only be spending AED 45 (tickets are priced at AED 15) for a good time.
Raclette DXB
If you’re a lover of all things cheese, visit this spot. Raclette DXB is as of the moment, THE ONLY PLACE in Dubai where you can get raclette – a Swiss dish where the cheese is heated until it melts and is then scraped off over baby potatoes, cold cuts and pickles all for AED 28.
Canadian Poutine
A pillar of Canadian comfort food, Poutine is French fries topped with cheese curds and then given a loving spoonful of beef gravy. In an online poll made by CBC Television it is considered one of the greatest Canadian inventions of all time. Why not try it out for yourself for just AED 20?
Thai Snacks
A Global Village classic. Thai Snacks is one of the more common stalls you’ll find in Global Village, right after the grilled corn and karak stands. For as low as AED 20, you can treat yourself to deep-fried seafood goodies such as prawn cakes and squid balls.
Takoyaki Spheerz
Takoyaki is a Japanese street food. They are ball-shaped snacks usually filled with a mixture of green onions, ginger and octopus. They are then brushed with a special sauce akin to Worcestershire and mayonnaise. For only AED 25, you get a generous amount of freshly made Takoyaki balls.
