All you Need to Know About Certificate of Good Conduct

- With effect from 4th February 2018, it is going to be mandatory to receive a ‘certificate of good conduct’ in order to obtain a work visa in the UAE
- The applicant should provide the certificate from the home country or from the country of residence where the person has been residing during the last five years
- Long-term residents in the UAE who are looking for a new visa can apply to Dubai Police or Abu Dhabi Police for a certificate
- The certificate, for which the fee is AED 220 for UAE resident expats, will only be applicable for the worker concerned and not his/her dependents
- The certificate of good conduct has been made mandatory in UAE as per a decision of the Council of Ministers No. (1/8) of 2017
- Dubai Police posted a link on their official Twitter account through which the certificate can be applied online
- The certificate of good conduct will help those involved in financial cases to clear their names and come back or continue to work in
- A person who wishes to work here in the UAE should have a clean record and has no involvement in any criminal cases or precedents, as part of UAE prevention measures
- Residents who have credit and loan dues can apply for a conduct certificate after providing proof of a new job opportunity and willingness to pay the dues
