Multaqa Zayed National Museum – Culture Event in Abu Dhabi

Zayed National Museum, will be the pre-eminent national museum in the United Arab Emirates. It will tell the story of the development of the country through the life and achievements of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of the UAE.
This will be set against the background of the deep history of the region and its cultural connections and significance across the globe. The museum will hold in trust for the nation a collection of art and artefacts from ancient and living cultures of the UAE, Arabia, and the wider Middle East. It will become a home as well as a research centre for the exploration and affirmation of the essentials of Emirati identity and allow the UAE’s diverse population an opportunity to celebrate its cultural inheritance.
Multaqa Zayed National Museum will be a platform for discussion and debate about the new museum. It will be a forum for people to participate in an engaging series of talks, which will explore the main themes of the museum. Throughout the series distinguished guest speakers and prominent experts will talk about their relationship to the museum and their own aspirations for it.
The dynamic programme of Multaqa Zayed National Museum will link the content, location, and audience for each talk to the museum narrative. The series will encourage a dialogue between Zayed National Museum and its public and provide an opportunity for them to help shape Zayed National Museum into a museum truly representative of the people of the UAE.
