More rain and strong winds for the UAE through the weekend

The first day of April brought rain throughout the day in Abu Dhabi, and residents braved the cooler temperatures and wet conditions
As residents across the country woke up to rain on Friday morning, forecasters are warning of strong winds that could affect visibility as dust and sand is kicked up into the air.
The unsettled weather brought with it scattered light showers across much of the coastal and western areas of the country and conditions are expected to persist until Monday.
“This unstable weather is normal at this time of year as we transition into the summer,” said a forecaster at the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology in Abu Dhabi.
“We will see more of the same tomorrow with internal and southern areas more affected by the rain.”
Northwesterly winds of up to 70kph are expected along the coast that will cause the sea in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea to be rough to very rough.
The fresh weather is also lowering temperatures with lows of 15°C along the coast and dropping to 12°C in internal areas.
Overall temperatures will will range between 25°C and 30°C during the day.
More scattered rain is expected on Saturday along with increased cloud cover during the day
“Cloud amount will gradually decrease by evening over most areas,” said the forecast.
However high winds will continue to result in the waters in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea being rough to very rough.
Although similar conditions will persist into Sunday the relative humidity is expected to increase at night in the morning.
