Master chef gives away 200 meal packs to workers

Indian master chef Sanjeev Kapoor surprised some of the labour force in Abu Dhabi with a gourmet meal on the Islamic New Year on Thursday.
The initiative came from the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA), which “challenged” the renowned chef to prepare 200 meal packets for construction workers, office boys, drivers and cleaners in the Capital, to help them celebrate the Islamic New Year.
“We are actively engaged within the community throughout the year and lead a number of initiatives here to make people’s lives better,” said Mouza Al Shamsi, acting executive director of Marketing and Communication at TCA.
“It is important for us to recognise everyone who contributes to making Abu Dhabi such a vibrant and welcoming place and we are delighted to partner with such a talent as Sanjeev Kapoor to make the Islamic New Year even more special for some of the needy in our society,” she added. Details
