Higher Gitex sales? Make sure that you are reliable

Preparations in full swing for Gitex Shopper at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Friday.
Smartphones and PCs are expected to steal the show at the sliver jubilee edition of autumn Gitex Shopper 2015, which is scheduled to start today, according to an industry expert.
“The Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, iPhone 6, mid-range models from Huawei and Lenovo will draw a lot of customers,” Omar Abushaban, general manager of Plug Ins, told Khaleej Times during an interview ahead of Gitex Shopper’s opening.
“We’re excited about the selection and offers in PCs this Gitex so that will be a major focus. Also, as has become the norm at Gitex, smartphones will be important to customers so we’ll put a lot of effort into making sure we have a compelling offering here,” Abushaban said.
Plug Ins, the multi-brand consumer electronics and IT retailer of Al-Futtaim Group, is associated with the show since day one. The event has played a significant role in supporting and growing the consumer electronics, he said, adding: “We’ve seen the shopper grow in terms of size, participants and attendees. This year we expect a 20 per cent increase compare to last Gitex.” Details
