High waves to hit UAE, rain forecast for parts of the country
UAE has been affected by an extension of a surface low-pressure system associated with a weak upper air trough, with some convective and rainy clouds formation especially over northern and eastern areas, according to the national Met department.
The weather forecast for Monday is partly cloudy to cloudy with convective clouds formation accompanied by rainfall especially east and northwards.
Moderate winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust and sands. Sea will be moderate to rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
NCM issued a weather warning for Monday, with offshore waves reaching as high as 7ft with winds reaching a speed of 45kmph.
The mercury will hit a maximum of 41°C and a minimum of 19°C
