The website does not charge any initial fee to list, but only a 3% commission for every successful booking made with Airbnb. Also, Airbnb manages the payment collection and booking process. It has over 1,500,000 listings in 34,000 cities and 190 countries. Airbnb also offers protection to hosts (home owners) by providing free insurance.

In UAE, at the time of writing, there are 693 listings at Dubai, 555 listings in Sharjah and 35 listings in Abu Dhabi.

How to earn extra income through Airbnb?

2. Make up your sofa, room or apartment and take fine photographs (we recommend atleast 6 photos)

Safety on Airbnb

Always check the tenant details before accepting a booking. Get some details of the background of the tenant before accepting the booking. Only accept verified Airbnb users. Set house rules for what is allowed and what is not allowed. Do not encourage payment outside of Airbnb as the Airbnb Host Insurance will not be applicable for those cases

Tips for Airbnb

Take good quality photos of the property with good lighting. Offer competitive rates, Airbnb also suggests rates for booking. Give preference to longer bookings. Be courteous to the tenants.
