- Malls participating in the sale are Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Festival City, Ibn Battuta Mall, Dubai Marina Mall, City Centre Deira, City Centre Mirdif, Oasis Centre, Al Ghurair Centre and Arabian Centre
- Dubai Summer Surprises is an annual festival in which thousands of retailers in Dubai participate and offer discounts to shoppers, apart from which there are a lot of entertaining events and activities
- Dubai Summer Surprises 2017 is the 20th edition of the festival, taking place from 1st July till 12th August, for a period of six weeks
- DSS is organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing
