Free Parking in Dubai and Abu Dhabi During Eid Al Fitr 2017 Holidays

- The Integrated Transport Centre Abu Dhabi and RTA Dubai confirmed that parking in Abu Dhabi and Dubai will be free during Eid Al Fitr 2017 holiday
- If Eid falls on 25th June, then parking in Abu Dhabi free from 23rd June till 28th June, and if Eid falls on 26th June, parking in the city will be free from 23rd June till 1st July
- In Dubai, parking will be free from 24th June to 27th June if Eid falls on 25th June, and if it falls on 26th June, parking will be free from 24th June till 30th June
- Almost all government offices and customer service centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be closed for Eid holidays, and the few entities which are open will function for shorter hours than usual
- Eid Al Fitr is a major festival celebrated in UAE at the end of the Ramadan, the Holy Month during which Muslims observe fasting
- An official moonsighting committee will convene on the night of Saturday, 24th June, to confirm the first day of Eid Al Fitr 2017
- The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) announced that the Eid Al Fitr holiday for federal ministries and authorities in the UAE will begin on 24th June, 2017
- The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation confirmed that Eid Al Fitr 2017 holidays for private sector will be two days, for which the dates will be fixed based on when Eid falls
- Motorists should ensure that their vehicles are parked in designated slots, and that they adhere to regulations regarding residential and non-residential parking zones from 09:00 PM till 08:00 AM
