Free electric car charging stations added at Dubai Festival City Mall

Three electric car charging stations have been added at the Dubai Festival City Mall for their customers to use for free while they are busy shopping. All of the three new outlets have been designed specifically for Tesla’s zero-emission electric vehicles. So, this could be some bad news for those that drive electric cars that are of any other company.
The electric car charging stations are located in the lower basement of the shopping complex’s Centrepoint parking.
Steven Cleaver, director, Shopping Centres Dubai, Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate, “The installation of these new charging points truly reflects Dubai Festival City Mall’s commitment to enhance its customer service and satisfaction by adding new innovations and sustainable solutions. This is also a part of the Mall and community’s effort to encourage our customers to better care for the environment collectively, as well as adding a new experience for shoppers at Dubai Festival City Mall.”
This is a very good initiative by the RTA and DEWA. By using such means as free electric recharge, free parking, and zero Salik until the end of 2019, they encourage motorists to switch to electric vehicles.
