Foggy forecast on New Year’s eve

- According to a forecast by National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), Dubai will have partly cloudy and hazy skies on December 31
- Fog may put a damper on UAE’s New Year Eve plans as cloudy and hazy conditions are forecast ahead of the much-anticipated celebrations
- Light to moderate wind is also expected throughout Sunday and Monday
- Weather is expected to be similar on the New Year’s Day as well

- The climate of UAE is warm and sunny due to its position near the line of the Tropic of Cancer
- UAE experiences heat for the most part of the year, and the winter months between January and February have average minimum temperatures recorded from 10-14°C
- Motorists are also urged to drive carefully in foggy conditions, without making any haste while on road
- Those wishing to ring in New Year on Sunday will have to deal with late night and early morning fog
