Eid Holidays 2017 for Private Sector in UAE Announced

- The first and second days of Eid will be paid holidays for private sector employees in the UAE
- Eid is predicted to fall on 25th or 26th June in 2017, depending on which the holidays will be confirmed
- The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation confirmed the Eid Al Fitr 2017 holidays for private sector on Saturday, 17th June, 2017
- In 2016, private sector employees had two days for Eid Al Fitr holidays
- Eid Al Fitr marks the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan which is observed by Muslims all over the world
- Ramadan is period of fasting and atonement that Muslims observe, which occurs every year during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar
- Ramadan in UAE is being observed from 27th May, 2017 till 24th June, 2017
- Eid Al Fitr is a time of celebration when friends and families gather to exchange gifts, sweets, and well wishes
- The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) announced that the Eid Al Fitr holiday for federal ministries and authorities in the UAE will begin on 24th June, 2017
