Dubai school fee freeze, most welcomed by parents

School and tuition fees in Dubai are no doubt very much high. This has also increased the cost of living for the families who live here as well. But there is a good news to all the families who reside in Dubai. All schools in Dubai have now an option to have the school fees freezed. This is indeed a delightful news for all the parents.
Tanveer Ahmed, 41, Indian, senior document controller mentions,
“All three of my daughters are enrolled in one of the most affordable Indian curriculum schools in Abu Dhabi, but I still pay about Dh36,000 a year in just fees. These fees have also risen for the last two years, and I definitely feel the pinch. In a year when living expenses have gone up across the board in the UAE, it would be great to see a similar freeze in school fees in Abu Dhabi. I would definitely welcome not having to reserve more for the educational budget, especially as the school has said that we can expect an increase in transportation expenses.”
Similarly, Steven Curbelo, 52, American, business owner states that,
“We currently pay about Dh26,000 a year as school fees for my son, who is enrolled in the fourth grade. The fees did increase by Dh1,000 last year, so it would be a fantastic decision for the authorities to freeze school fees for the coming academic year. Of course, I’m a firm believer in paying more if it means a better education for my son. But I would also be happy if education costs do not increase this year when all other costs have risen.”
