Dubai Ruler Calls For Joint International Effort To Meet Humanitarian Aid Needs

Joint international efforts are required to meet unprecedented humanitarian aid needs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, said on Sunday.
His comments came amid the launch of a United Nations report at Dubai’s International Humanitarian City on filling a US$15 million (Dh55m) funding gap for humanitarian aid.
“In order to bridge the gap it is necessary to consolidate international efforts, improve efficiency of humanitarian work, involve private sector and establish good governance in the countries that need help,” Sheikh Mohammed said. Details
