Dubai: Plastic car registration cards being placed by virtual ones

The plastic registration cards that need to be constantly renewed from time to time shall be now replaced by the virtual ones and these will not need any sort of renewal. This is some pretty good news for all vehicle owners.
The new e-registration service comes into full effect from August 1st. Dubai motorists will now soon be able to have their vehicles registered online with ‘no expiry date’, the RTA has announced.
An official statement from the Dubai Media Office notes that, “The customers can issue the lifetime vehicle e-Registration bearing no expiry date, as it will be renewed upon the completion of procedures. The copy of the e-Registration (Vehicle Driving Permit) will be sent to the client via e-mail, and will appear on RTA app.”
The changes that come into effect from August 1 will have Dubai motorists e-registering their cars and be issues a virtual registration card, instead of that of the normal physical one, and this card is intended to be valid for a lifetime without it having to be renewed annually from time to time. Now car owners need not worry about timely re-registration and unwanted fines.
