Dubai Expo 2020’s Central Plaza Revealed
The Dubai Expo 2020 team has announced a translucent plaza that will be the centre hub of the expo site.
The Wasl Plaza will be able to project massive images. It will be able to accommodate 10,000 people and will be a multipurpose venue.
The plaza will be used as a garden and can be used to hold different types of events.
The expo team is ensuring that the sustainability theme is followed through completely and they will be collecting rainwater and water from the country’s humidity to help the garden grow.
Ahmed Al Khatib, Vice President of Real Estate – Expo 2020, said that all visitors arriving at the expo 2020 site will pass through the plaza first to get to the other levels.
He said that the pavilions of participants at the expo will be dismantled after the expo, however, the plaza will stay and be a “legacy” for the UAE.
