One thousand gifts are packed by more than one hundred employees and are distributed to the dhow sailors at the Dubai Creek. This act of kindness was taken as an initiative by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry by organising a series of charitable activities that were in cooperation the Angel Appeal initiative to celebrate Zayed Humanitarian Day and the Year of Zayed.

More the 100 staff members from The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry over the course of two days had volunteered all of their time to come forth and put together 1,000 Ramadan gift packs that contained personal care items and had them distributed to the dhow sailors who were working at the Dubai Creek.

The Zayed Humanitarian Day is a day to be remembered and is served as a reminder to follow the great humanitarian works and the legacy of the late great former ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Zultan Al Nahyan.

The activities were organised as a way to complement the efforts that are being led by the Chamber during Ramadan, that includes the support as a host and sponsor for the Dubai International Holy Quran Award on its 22^nd session.

President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan last year had declared that the year 2018 as the Year of Zayed in the UAE, as this will be the year that will mark the 100^th year since the birth of His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. A wide range of activities, various types of initiatives and other events will be organised all across the UAE that will highlight his values and his vision.
