Dubai Airport warns travelers to avoid road closures

The Dubai Airports officials have been suggesting the alternative routes for the morning closures since early Friday morning. The officials have informed customers traveling to and from the Dubai International Airport this Friday about the congestion on the road that there could be due to road closures and to allow some extra time to reach the airport. This means that the customers who are coming to the airport will have to leave their homes much earlier than the required normal time.
Alternative routes are being suggested in order to avoid any traffic jams within the immediate vicinity of the airport.
The first alternate option states that travelers can, “Follow the signs towards Rashidiya as they exit from Terminal 1, then follow the signs that will lead traffic Via 51st St at the back of Le Meridian Airport Hotel onto Casablanca St, northbound, then take the U-turn at the Junction with Airport Rd, southbound on Casablanca St to Garhoud/Dubai.”
The second option is for the visitors who should follow “the signs towards Rashidiya as you exit from Terminal 1, then follow the signs to Terminal 1 and then onto Airport Rd, West Bound, turning left, southbound onto Casablanca St at the junction.”
The closure will be approximately for four hours, after which the road should be fully accessible once again. The road should be facing this level of congestion only in the morning hours of Friday from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The exit lane from Terminal 1, leading to the bridge towards Garhoud / Dubai, will be closed in order to install the new gantry road sign.
